Breakfast and Afterschool Club
At Newbold Church School we are proud to offer parents our very own on-site breakfast and afterschool club where children can take part in a range of exciting activities. A club registration fee of £7 per family is charged for each academic year, this covers use of both Shake and Wake and Branching Out. A Parental Agreement and Club Registration Form must be completed as part of the enrolment process, half termly booking forms are sent home with children.
Payment should be made online using www.eduspot.co.uk and sessions should be paid for in advance. Where possible please give a week’s notice if sessions need to be altered/cancelled, please email wraparound@newbold-pri.derbyshire.sch.uk
All club staff are qualified teaching assistants with Level 2 Food & Hygiene Certificates and appropriate first aid training.
Shake and Wake runs every morning in the school hall
Afterschool Club runs Mon - Thurs in the school hall
Wraparound Compliance Information
- Children attending Shake & Wake must be accompanied down the school path and signed in at the hall door each morning. Children attending Branching Out will be signed out by staff upon being picked up by an approved adult.
- Places are allocated on a first come first served basis, places will not be allocated where ratios will be exceeded.
- Our current wraparound ratios stand at 1:15 for Shake and Wake and 1:10 for Afterschool club. There will be no more than 8 EYFS children at any one time in either club. At Shake & Wake, there will be two members of staff on site from 7.30am. At Branching Out, there will be two members of staff on site until 5pm, this then drops to one staff member until 5.30pm. 1:1 support in wraparound care can be requested if necessary although this is dependant on staffing and costings - please speak to the headteacher if you would like more information.
- A full allergy/intolerance/preference form will be filled in for each child where necessary to ensure safe handling and distribution of food during wraparound clubs.
- Emergency contact forms for each child are safely kept in the wraparound area in case of emergency.
- Costings for wraparound clubs can be subsidised by the Government, more information can be found at https://www.gov.uk/help-with-childcare-costs. We actively promote this to new parents who are interested in our clubs.
- Information about booking, cancelling and late fess can be found on the Parental Agreement form.
- We will continue to monitor the costings and demand of our clubs and will alter the provision where necessary.
