Currently at NCS there are children who are learning to play guitar or drums. If your child is in Year 4, 5 or 6 and is interested in learning to play an instrument (guitar, drums or any other) please contact Mrs Slater or the school office.
Music at NCS
‘ Often a single experience will open the young soul to music for a whole lifetime. This experience cannot be left to chance, it is the duty of the school to provide it.'
(Zoltan Kodaly)
Music is an essential part of life and integral to the development of the whole person. At Newbold Church School, whilst Christianity is the heartbeat of the school, music is its pulse. Music is used across the curriculum, and unites our school together, through worship and performance. Its inclusivity builds in children an appreciation, a sense of unity and a cultural appreciation that reaches across ages, abilities and background.
